GOPIO Canberra Chapter

About GOPIO

The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) is an international network of People of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). GOPIO was founded at the First Global Convention of People of Indian Origin in New York in 1989. GOPIO has now set its priorities in pooling our resources, both financial and professional, for the benefit of OCIs/PIOs, the countries they come from, and India. Toward this goal, we welcome you to join in this international effort.

GOPIO accredited by the U.N. as an NGO to participate in the World Conference Against Racism.

GOPIO Canberra Chapter is for all the People of Indian Origin living in Canberra and nearby areas. It was officially launched on 2nd October 2014.
